Legal
Privacy policy
We collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR.
Who is responsible
The data controller is The Maker’s Hub, based in Valserhône, France. Contact for any privacy question: [email protected]
What we collect
Contact form. When you write to us through the form, we receive the details you enter: first and last name, email address, brand or website (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message.
Email. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your details only to read and reply to your enquiry and, if you wish to work with us, to prepare a quote or agreement. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not sell them.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use tracking tools. For this reason it does not show a cookie banner. If this changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where required.
Fonts
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
Who receives your data
Only The Maker’s Hub and the service providers that run this website for us: Cloudflare (hosting and message storage) and Resend (sending the notification email of your message to us). These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages are deleted automatically after one year. Emails and any quote or contract documents are kept for as long as needed for the relationship and legal obligations, and enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted within a reasonable time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. To use these rights, email [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
